Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer
Eliot Hamlisch serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Amtrak. Since joining in September 2023, Eliot has led Amtrak’s continued transformation of the customer experience, focused on delighting customers at every step of their journey with America’s Railroad. Eliot’s functional oversight spans Revenue Management, Sales & Distribution, Loyalty & Customer Engagement, Customer Care, Insights & Market Research, Digital & Brand Marketing, Service Planning, Product Development & Customer Experience, Commercial Development & Major Stations and Commercial Oversight of Amtrak’s three service lines (Northeast Corridor, Long Distance and State Supported).
Prior to joining Amtrak, Hamlisch served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., the world’s largest theatrical exhibition company and an industry leader in innovation and operational excellence. In his role, Hamlisch was accountable for driving attendance and market share at AMC theatres, optimizing revenue, serving as the company’s principal customer advocate and acting as custodian of the guest experience.
Earlier in his career, Eliot served as Executive Vice President of Loyalty and Revenue Optimization at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with 9,000+ hotels across nearly 100 countries and 22 iconic brands. His oversight spanned the company’s award-winning loyalty program (Wyndham Rewards), customer engagement, loyalty, credit card, partnerships, distribution and revenue management functions. Previously, Hamlisch served as Wyndham’s head of Global Sales, generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue across the company’s worldwide hotel portfolio.
Earlier in his career, Hamlisch held progressive leadership roles in strategic planning, business development and customer engagement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Deloitte Consulting and American Express.
Hamlisch graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
