First Class seating is available exclusively on Acela. First Class passengers enjoy priority boarding, premium amenities, complimentary onboard food and beverage services and privileged access to station lounges in Boston - South Station, New York - Moynihan Train Hall, Philadelphia - William H Gray III 30th Street Station and Washington, DC - Union Station.

Acela First Class also offers seat selection, allowing for seamless boarding while taking the guesswork out of finding your seat. Your seat will be automatically assigned when you complete your reservation, but you may change it to an available seat of your choosing at no additional cost.

While in Acela First Class, you'll relax in spacious one-by-two seating. All of our seats have adjustable headrests, lumbar support, footrests and handy individual outlets to charge up your device. Conference tables, with seating for two or four, are available. A luggage tower and oversized overhead bins enable easy storage of carry-on luggage. Complimentary WiFi is also available. Amtrak Guest Reward members traveling in Acela First Class receive 50% point bonus.

Child car seats cannot be secured to any seats onboard Amtrak trains or buses. Passengers traveling with an infant/small child in a child car seat may place the seat in a vacant seat only if it is not needed for a paying passenger; children under 2 years of age may be required to ride on the passenger’s lap and the child car seat stored in an appropriate baggage area.

For the comfort and peace of your fellow passengers, Amtrak asks that all riders use earphones when using audio or video devices.
