Lodi Wine Country
"Lodi Wine Country" is one of California’s major winegrowing regions, located 100 miles east of San Francisco near the San Joaquin/Sacramento River Delta, south of Sacramento and west of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Lodi is characterized by a rural atmosphere where wineries and farms that are run by fourth and fifth generation families operate in tandem with a new group of vintners who have brought creative winemaking and cutting-edge technology to the region. Visitors will find Lodi wine tasting rooms large and small, brand new and decades old. Lodi was recently named "Wine Region of the Year" by the Wine Enthusiast, one of the world's most well regarded publications dedicated to wine, spirits, food and travel. In addition to its great tasting wine, Lodi's culinary scene is just as flavorful. From traditional American grub to innovative farm-to-table fare, the entrees are endless. Whether you're visiting Lodi for the first time or the 10th, be ready for the culinary variety and decadent wines. In addition to Lodi's over 85 boutique wineries, be sure to visit Lodi's quaint charming downtown area.
