Zone 1: Sacramento through Stockton (Amtrak Connection Bus travel without rail segment in itinerary not permitted)

Zone 2: San Francisco through Stockton

Zone 4: Fresno through Bakersfield

1. Discount Details
   • Valid for $5 one-way travel per zone (Combinable for Round Trip $10).
   • Must book at least 30 days in advance.
   • Exclusively available through the Group Department.
2. Fare Rules
   • Fares are non-refundable.
3. Travel Validity 
   • Valid routes: 
     • Gold Runner Trains 
       • North – 701, 703, 709, 711, 713, 715, 717 and 719
       • South – 702, 704, 710, 712, 716 and 718
     • Amtrak Connection buses except for 7000-8999 Series.
   • Zones: 
     • Cities in Zone 1: Sacramento thru Stockton.
       
       • Not permitted for Amtrak Connection buses without train segment.
     • Cities in Zone 2: San Francisco thru Stockton.
     • Cities in Zone 3: Stockton thru Fresno.
     • Cities in Zone 4: Fresno thru Bakersfield.

   **Thruway travel is only permitted between Emeryville - San Franscisco stops and Stockton and Sacramento stops.

   • Class restrictions: Coach only.

5. Additional Information 
   • Valid for passengers 18 and under.
   • Valid for groups of 15 or more passengers only.
   • A minimum of 1 designated chaperone is required for every 6 students.
   • Group limit is 125 passengers for each departure with revenue management approval.
   • Reservation must be reserved at least 30 days before travel.
   • Fares are based on one way per zone for children and chaperones.
   • No upgrades permitted. 
   • Group Desk Supervisor is permitted to convert full-fare priced PNRs to special group pricing if the group leader communicates to the Group Desk prior to travel that the group has become aware of the discount and requests it. All program criteria must be met.
   • Wheelchairs: Thruway bus group wheelchair accommodation is limited. Not all Amtrak stations can currently accommodate wheelchair boarding. Federal regulations implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act control the number of wheelchair locations on intercity trains.
   • Seating is limited and may not be available on all trains, dates, or departures.
   • Fares, routes and schedules are subject to change without notice. 
   • Subject to any restrictions, blackouts and refund rules that apply to the type of fare purchased.
   • Other restrictions may apply. 
   • Valid for group travel with no additional discounts.
   • Not valid on bookings made with Amtrak Guest Rewards points.
   • Not valid on Points & Cash bookings.
