Use Your Amtrak Guest Rewards Coupons

You can use your upgrade, companion, lounge pass and discount coupons from Amtrak Guest Rewards on Amtrak.com and the Amtrak app. Free trip coupons may be redeemed via phone.

Upgrade coupons can be applied to existing reservations within the window of time referenced on your coupon.

1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
2. Locate your ticket on the home screen and tap "Trip Tools," then "Upgrade".
3. Press "Apply" next to the upgrade coupon you’d like to use.
4. Press "Confirm".
5. Your new ticket will be added on the app instantly.

Be sure to update to the latest version of the Amtrak app to enjoy this feature.

1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
2. Click on "My Account" and select "My Trips".
3. Under "Current Reservations," choose "Show".
4. Find the reservation you wish to modify and click "View/Edit".
5. Select "Use Upgrade".
6. Choose the Upgrade coupon you’d like to apply.
7. Select "Complete Upgrade".
8. A new ticket with your upgraded reservation will be sent to you instantly.

Companion and discount coupons can be applied when you book a trip.

1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
2. When entering your information to book a trip, tap the "Discounts" field.
3. Choose the companion or discount coupon you’d like to apply.
4. The coupon will be applied to your booking on the next screen.

2. When entering your information to book a trip, look for the "Advanced Search” drop-down menu.
3. Select the coupon you'd like to apply from the list that displays under the Coupon Code option or enter a coupon number.

Single-Visit Lounge Passes can be used on your next visit to an Amtrak lounge.

1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
2. Tap "Account" and select "Lounge Access".
3. Present your Lounge Pass and same-day ticket for entry into the lounge.

2. Select your name on the top of the screen to view your “My Account” options.
3. Select "Lounge Access" to access and present your Lounge Pass and same-day ticket for entry into the lounge.

Your free trip coupons can be redeemed when you’re ready to book a trip.

1. Call 1-800-307-5000 and ask the agent to apply your coupon.

2. Ask the Amtrak station agent to apply your coupon.
