The carry-on and checked baggage policies on Amtrak Thruway Services of the 7000 and 8000 number series are determined by the operating carrier and may vary from those of Amtrak. Please ask Amtrak or the carrier for details.
Carry-On Baggage
Each passenger can have a total of 2 carry-on bags, each not to exceed 50 lbs. (23 kg), 28 x 22 x 14 inches (700 x 550 x 350 millimeters).

Prohibited Items
For the safety and security of our passengers and employees, Amtrak prohibits certain items onboard trains and/or in checked bags.

Checked Baggage
Each passenger can check up to 4 bags - 2 free of charge and 2 for $20 per bag, each not to exceed 50 lbs. (23 kg), 75 linear inches (length + width + height).
Special Items
Baggage over the normal size restrictions or requiring special handling, such as baby items, bicycles, sporting equipment and firearms, may be subject to additional packing requirements and service fees.
