Station Improvement Project Begins at Rocky Mount, NC
Effective May 20, 2024 - May 31, 2025The City of Rocky Mount is making major investments to repair and maintain the historic Rocky Mount train station. Improvements to the signage, platform and canopy are scheduled to be completed by May 2025.
Boarding Impacts
Amtrak is partnering with the construction company to ensure easy access to platforms for passengers boarding and alighting trains.
- If assistance is required with ticketing, baggage or boarding, allow 60 minutes to check in.
- If assistance is not required, allow 30 minutes to check in.
- Pay attention to directional signage to access the platform.
The improvement project will be completed in phases to allow passengers to board trains from different sections of the platform.
