Northeast Regional, Vermonter, Amtrak Hartford Line, Valley Flyer Impacted by Infrastructure Work

Effective Friday - Monday, August 22 - 25 and September 5 - 8, 2025

To accommodate infrastructure work, Amtrak’s Northeast Regional, Vermonter, Hartford Line and Valley Flyer Services will be adjusted as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.


August 22 and September 5

  • Trains 136 and 148, which normally operate between Washington, DC and Springfield, will terminate at New Haven. Buses 3136 and 3148 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven and Springfield.

August 23 and September 6

  • Trains 463 and 467, which normally operate between Springfield and New Haven, will be replaced by Buses 3463 and 3467.
  • Train 147, which normally operates between Springfield and Roanoke, will originate at New Haven. Bus 3147 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.

August 23 - 24 and September 6 - 7

  • Train 405, which normally operates between Springfield and New Haven, will be replaced by Bus 3405.
  • Train 461, which normally operates between Greenfield and New Haven, will terminate at Springfield. Bus 3461 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.
  • Train 143, which normally operates between Springfield and Washington, DC will originate at New Haven. Bus 3143 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.
  • Trains 140 and 146, which normally operate between Washington, DC and Springfield, will terminate at New Haven. Buses 3140 and 3146 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven and Springfield.
  • Train 54, which normally operates between Washington, DC and St. Albans, will terminate at New Haven. Bus 3054 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven and St. Albans for all stops except Meriden, Holyoke, Claremont, Windsor and Randolph.
  • Train 57, which normally operates between St. Alban’s and Washington, DC will originate at New Haven. Bus 3057 will provide alternate transportation between St. Alban’s and New Haven for all stops except Randolph, Windsor, Claremont, Holyoke and Meriden.
  • Trains 450, 460 and 464, which normally operate between New Haven and Springfield, will be replaced by Buses 3150, 3460 and 3464.
  • Train 488, which normally operates between New Haven and Greenfield, will originate at Springfield. Bus 3188 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven and Springfield.

August 24 and September 7

  • Trains 409, 465 and 497, which normally operate between Springfield and New Haven, will be replaced by Buses 3409, 3465 and 3497.
  • Train 157, which normally operates between Springfield and Norfolk, will originate at New Haven. Bus 3157 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.
  • Train 416, which normally operates between New Haven and Springfield, will be replaced by Bus 3416.

August 25 and September 8

  • Train 141, which normally operates between Springfield and Norfolk, will originate at New Haven. Bus 3141 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.
  • Train 125, which normally operates between Springfield and Newport News, will originate at New Haven. Bus 3125 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield and New Haven.
