Lake Shore Limited and Berkshire Flyer Affected by Unplanned Maintenance between Albany and Boston

Effective Immediately

During a routine inspection, an issue with surrounding land adjacent to the track infrastructure was identified between Albany and Boston. Due to this, unplanned maintenance is being performed affecting the Lake Shore Limited Service, as outlined below.

  • Lake Shore Limited Service will operate with alternate bus transportation between Albany and Boston through the end of June 2025.
  • As maintenance work is completed, an update on the duration of the service disruption will be shared.

The Berkshire Flyer seasonal weekend service is scheduled to begin on June 20, 2025, and will also be impacted. Alternate bus transportation will be provided between Albany and Pittsfield during the maintenance.
