Lake Shore Limited, Berkshire Flyer Schedule Changes
Effective Friday through Monday; June 20 - November 30, 2025To accommodate infrastructure work, Lake Shore Limited train service will be replaced by buses between Albany and Boston through at least the end of November, and Berkshire Flyer train service will be replaced by buses between Albany and Pittsfield for the duration of its seasonal service as outlined below. The schedules listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect this change.
Once the project repair design is complete, Amtrak will re-evaluate its plan and will provide an update on the timing of these repairs and when train service can resume by the end of the summer.
Lake Shore Limited
- Train 448, which normally operates between Chicago and Boston, will terminate at Albany. Bus 3448 will provide alternate transportation for all stops between Albany and Boston, except Framingham and Boston Back Bay.
- Train 449, which normally operates between Boston and Chicago, will originate at Albany and continue to Chicago. Bus 3449 will provide alternate transportation for all stops between Boston and Albany, except Boston Back Bay and Framingham.
Berkshire Flyer
- Train 1237, which normally operates between New York and Pittsfield, will terminate at Albany. Bus 3237 will provide alternate transportation between Albany and Pittsfield.
- Train 1233, which normally operates between New York and Pittsfield, will terminate at Albany. Bus 3233 will provide alternate transportation between Albany and Pittsfield.
- Train 1246, which normally operates between Pittsfield and New York, will originate at Albany. Bus 3246 will provide alternate transportation between Pittsfield and Albany.
