Empire and Maple Leaf Schedule Changes
Effective May 12 - October 10, 2025To accommodate infrastructure work being performed between Niagara Falls and Albany, Empire and Maple Leaf Service schedules will be adjusted as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.
Eastbound
- Train 280 will depart Niagara Falls 10 minutes earlier at 3:42am, operating on an adjusted schedule between Rochester and Rome, returning to the normal schedule at Utica.
- Train 284 will depart Niagara Falls 10 minutes earlier at 6:37am, operating on an adjusted schedule between Rochester and Rome, returning to the normal schedule at Utica.
- Train 64 will depart Niagara Falls 10 minutes earlier at 11:40am, operating on an adjusted schedule between Rochester and Rome, returning to the normal schedule at Utica.
Westbound
- Train 281 will operate on an adjusted schedule between Utica and Buffalo, arriving in Niagara Falls 10 minutes later at 7:45pm.
- Train 283 will operate on an adjusted schedule between Utica and Buffalo arriving in Niagara Falls 10 minutes later at 10:38pm.
- Train 63 will operate on an adjusted schedule between Utica and Buffalo arriving in Niagara Falls 10 minutes later at 4:52pm, departing Niagara Falls 10 minutes later at 5:00pm, and departing Niagara Falls, ON at 5:45pm, resuming normal scheduling.
