Coast Starlight Service Changes

Effective July 4 and 5, 2025

Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific, Amtrak’s Coast Starlight service will be impacted as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.

• Train 11, which normally operates between Seattle and Los Angeles, will operate as Train 11 from Seattle to Klamath Falls, as Bus 3011 from Klamath Falls to Sacramento on July 4, and as Train 1011 on July 5 from Sacramento to Los Angeles.
• Train 14, which normally operates between Los Angeles and Seattle, will operate as Train 14 from Los Angeles to Sacramento, as Bus 3014 from Sacramento to Klamath Falls on July 4, and as Train 1014 from Klamath Falls to Seattle on July 5.
• Bus 3011 will provide alternate transportation at Dunsmuir, Redding and Chico with the following schedule:
  • Depart Klamath Falls at 10:10pm
  • Depart Dunsmuir at 01:10am
  • Depart Redding at 2:20am
  • Depart Chico at 3:45am
  • Arrive at Sacramento at 5:45am
• Bus 3014 will provide alternate transportation at Chico, Redding and Dunsmuir with the following schedule:
  • Depart Sacramento at 11:59pm
  • Depart Chico at 1:40am
  • Depart Redding at 3:10am
  • Depart Dunsmuir at 4:15am
  • Arrive at Klamath Falls at 6:45am
