Amtrak Services Affected by AWS Network Issue

Due to a network outage originating from a third-party cloud provider, Amtrak is currently experiencing intermittent technical difficulties that are impacting several key services. Customers should be aware of the following:
- Our Customer Care Center and station staff are unable to update existing reservations or process payments.
- Customers are currently unable to book reservations through Amtrak.com or the mobile app.
- Customer communications via SMS, email, and push notifications are temporarily disrupted.
We are actively working with our business partner to resolve these problems. If you are traveling today, please arrive at your station at your regularly scheduled time typically 30 minutes prior to your train’s departure. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
