Providence Station Impacts During FIFA World Cup 2026 Events

Effective Select Dates Between June 11 and July 19, 2026

 

Due to the FIFA Fan Zone event taking place adjacent to Providence Station (PVD) from June 11 through July 19, customers should expect temporary changes to station access and nearby traffic patterns.

Street Closures & Traffic Changes

• Finance Way (Exchange Street to Francis Street) will be closed to through traffic.
• Exchange Street will remain fully open.
• Gaspee Street (Francis Street to Smith Street – Station Park side) will have one lane closed for event operations. Turns from Smith Street toward Francis Street will be allowed.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off

• Exchange Street will be designated for rideshare (Uber/Lyft) and accessible (ADA) drop-off only. Parking is not allowed.
• Gaspee Street will have ‘No Parking’ restrictions in place with designated rideshare and ADA pick-up and drop-off locations.

Plan Ahead

To help ensure a smooth experience:

• Arrive early and allow extra time for traffic, closures and crowds.
• Follow posted signage and instructions from station staff.
