Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, Train 701 will detour between Sacramento and Stockton and will not stop at Lodi on August 8, 15 and 22, 2016. Alternate transportation will not be provided.

<![CDATA[Lake Shore Limited: Track Work Affects Service between Albany and Boston]]> Effective on Select Dates through August 24, 2016

Track work being performed by CSX will affect Trains 448 and 449 between Albany and Boston on the dates shown below:

  • Sunday through Wednesday: August 14 - 17, 2016
  • Sunday through Wednesday: August 21 - 24, 2016
Train 448 Albany - Boston Service

Passengers aboard Train 48 who are traveling to Pittsfield, Springfield, Worcester, Framingham and Boston (South Station) will get off the train at Albany where bus service will be provided at all stations, except Boston Back Bay.

Train 449 Boston - Albany Service

Train 449 will not operate between Boston (South Station) and Albany. Passengers boarding at Boston (South Station), Framingham, Worcester, Springfield and Pittsfield will be provided bus service to Albany, where they will board westbound Train 49 to their destination.

Boston Back Bay Service Canceled

On track work dates, Trains 448 and 449 will not stop at Boston Back Bay, and bus service will not be provided. Passengers may contact MBTA for travel to and from Boston Back Bay.

Boston (South Station) and Framingham
  • Passengers at Boston South Station should go to the Amtrak Information Desk for instructions on boarding the buses.
  • Passengers at Framingham, will board all buses at the drop-off/pick-up area track 2 platform (at Waverly Street).
Worcester

This station is unstaffed. Passengers at Worcester should go downstairs to the intercity bus area and board the bus marked Premier Bus.

<![CDATA[San Joaquins 10-Ride Ticket Policy Change]]> Effective Monday, April 18, 2016

At the request of the San Joaquin Joint Powers Authority (SJJPA), the policy governing the use of 10-ride tickets on the San Joaquins will change effective Monday, April 18, 2016.

What's Changing?

A 10-ride ticket purchased on or after April 18, 2016, can only be used by the passenger whose name is on the ticket and can no longer be transferred or shared by multiple passengers.
