Sustainability Reports

Our annual Sustainability Report represents one of the many ways that we communicate the objectives of our Sustainability Policy and corporate-wide Sustainability Program. We have been reporting on our environmental performance for a number of years, and more recently we have included our economic and social performance. In 2013, Amtrak produced its first comprehensive, cross-company sustainability report covering a broader range of topics outside of environmental. In the 2014 Sustainability Report, we worked to provide a better balance among environmental, social and economic topics based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 guidelines. GRI is the de facto sustainability reporting framework used by companies around the world, including other transportation and rail entities.
