Piedmont and Carolinian Service Adjustments

Effective August 3 - 6 and August 24 - 27, 2026

Service changes will impact Piedmont and Carolinian trains due to track work between Greensboro (GRO) and Raleigh (RGH). Customers should note that several trains will operate significantly later than scheduled and some service adjustments are in place.

Service Changes

  • Train 72 will terminate at Greensboro (GRO).
    • Bus 3172 will provide alternate transportation between Greensboro (GRO) and Raleigh (RGH), making all station stops except Burlington (BNC).
  • Train 73 will originate at Greensboro (GRO).
    • Bus 3173 will provide alternate transportation between Raleigh (RGH) and Greensboro (GRO), making all station stops except Burlington (BNC).
  • Train 75 will originate at Greensboro (GRO).
    • Bus 3175 will provide alternate transportation between Raleigh (RGH) and Greensboro (GRO), making all station stops except Burlington (BNC).

Schedule Adjustments (15 minutes or more)

  • Train 74 will operate 40 to 55 minutes later than scheduled between Charlotte (CLT) and Raleigh (RGH).
  • Train 73 will operate up to 70 minutes later than scheduled between Greensboro (GRO) and Charlotte (CLT).
  • Train 76 will operate up to 22 minutes later than scheduled between Cary (CYN) and Raleigh (RGH).
  • Train 77 will operate 40 to 61 minutes later than scheduled between Raleigh (RGH) and Charlotte (CLT).
  • Train 78 will operate 30 to 45 minutes later than scheduled between Charlotte (CLT) and Raleigh (RGH).

    • Customers should allow additional travel time and follow on-site guidance for bus connections.
