Lake Shore Limited Service Adjustment

Effective October 15 - 19 and November 5 - 9, 2026

Due to infrastructure work, service on the Lake Shore Limited will be adjusted as follows:

  • Train 448 departing Chicago (CHI) October 15 - 17 and November 5 - 7 will terminate at Albany-Rensselaer (ALB) on October 16 - 18 and November 6 - 8.
    • Bus 3448 will provide alternate transportation between Albany-Rensselaer (ALB) and Boston South Station (BOS) on October 16 - 18 and November 6 - 8 making all stops except Framingham (FRA) and Back Bay (BBY).
  • Train 449 will originate at Albany-Rensselaer (ALB) on October 17 - 19 and November 7 - 9.
    • Bus 3449 will provide alternate transportation between Boston South Station (BOS) and Albany-Rensselaer (ALB) on October 17 - 19 and November 7 - 9, making all stops except Back Bay (BBY) and Framingham (FRA).

Important Information

  • Customers traveling to or from Framingham (FRA) or Back Bay (BBY) should plan on departing from or arriving at Worcester Union Station (WOR) or Boston South Station (BOS).
  • Please allow additional travel time when using alternate transportation.
