Coast Starlight and Pacific Surfliner Service Changes

Effective March 7 and 8, 2026

Due to trackwork being performed by SCRRA, NCTD and Union Pacific Railroad, Amtrak’s Coast Starlight and Pacific Surfliner service will be impacted as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.

Coast Starlight, March 6 and 7

• Train 11, which normally operates between Seattle and Los Angeles, will terminate at Emeryville. Alternate transportation will be provided between Sacramento and Los Angeles via Gold Runner service.

Coast Starlight, March 7 and 8

• Train 14, which normally operates between Los Angeles and Seattle, will originate at Emeryville. Alternate transportation will be provided between Los Angeles and Martinez via Gold Runner service.

Pacific Surfliner, March 7 and 8

• All Pacific Surfliner trains are canceled with no alternate transportation provided. Amtrak Connection buses will operate normally.
