Northeast Regional, Vermonter, Amtrak Hartford Line, Valley Flyer Impacted by Infrastructure Work

Effective Thursday, August 6 - Monday, August 10, 2026


To accommodate infrastructure work, Northeast Regional, Vermonter, Hartford Line and Valley Flyer Services will be adjusted as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.

August 6

  • Train 479, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and New Haven, CT (NHV) will originate at Springfield, MA (SPG). Bus 3479 will provide alternate transportation between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and Springfield, MA (SPG).
  • Trains 486 and 494, which normally operate between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Greenfield, MA (GFD) will terminate at Springfield, MA (SPG). Buses 3486 and 3994, will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Greenfield, MA (GFD).

 

August 7

  • Train 55, which normally operates between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and Washington, DC (WAS) will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3055 will provide alternate transportation between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and New Haven, CT (NHV) for all stops except Randolph, VT (RPH), Windsor, VT (WNM), Claremont, NH (CLA), Holyoke, MA (HLK) and Meriden, CT (MDN).
  • Train 56, which normally operates between Washington, DC (WAS) and St. Albans, VT (SAB) will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3056 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and St. Albans, VT (SAB) for all stops except Meriden, CT (MDN), Holyoke, MA (HLK), Claremont, NH (CLA), Windsor, VT (WNM) and Randolph, VT (RPH).
  • Train 136 and 148, which normally operates between Washington, DC (WAS) and Springfield, MA (SPG) will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Buses 3136 and 3148 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Springfield, MA (SPG).
  • Train 425, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will be replaced by Bus 3025.
  • Train 479, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and New Haven, CT (NHV) will originate at Springfield, MA (SPG). Bus 3479 will provide alternate transportation between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and Springfield, MA (SPG).
  • Trains 486 and 494, which normally operate between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Greenfield, MA (GFD) will terminate at Springfield, MA (SPG). Buses 3486 and 3994, will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Greenfield, MA (GFD).

 

August 8

  • Train 54, which normally operates between Washington, DC (WAS) and St. Albans, VT (SAB), will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3054 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and St. Albans, VT (SAB) for all stops except Meriden, CT (MDN), Holyoke, MA (HLK), Claremont, NH (CLA), Windsor, VT (WNM) and Randolph, VT (RPH).
  • Train 57, which normally operates between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and Washington, DC, will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3057 will provide alternate transportation between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and New Haven, CT (NHV) for all stops except Randolph, VT (RPH), Windsor, VT (WNM), Claremont, NH (CLA), Holyoke, MA (HLK) and Meriden, CT (MDN).
  • Trains 140 and 146, which normally operate between Washington, DC (WAS) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Buses 3140 and 3146 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Springfield, MA (SPG).
  • Train 143, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Washington, DC (WAS), will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3143 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).
  • Train 147, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Roanoke, VA (RNK), will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3147 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).

  • Train 400, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Greenfield, MA (GFD), will be replaced by Bus 3400.
  • Trains 405, 463, and 467 which normally operate between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV), will be replaced by Buses 3405, 3463, and 3467.
  • Trains 450, 460 and 464, which normally operate between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will be replaced by Buses 3150, 3460, and 3464.
  • Train 461, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and New Haven, CT (NHV), will be replaced by Bus 3461.
  • Train 488, which normally operates between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Greenfield, MA (GFD), will be replaced by Bus 3188.
  • Train 499, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will be replaced by Bus 3009.

 

August 9

  • Train 54, which normally operates between Washington, DC (WAS) and St. Albans, VT (SAB), will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3054 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and St. Albans, VT (SAB) for all stops except Meriden, CT (MDN), Holyoke, MA (HLK), Claremont, NH (CLA), Windsor, VT (WNM) and Randolph, VT (RPH).
  • Train 57, which normally operates between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and Washington, DC, will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3057 will provide alternate transportation between St. Albans, VT (SAB) and New Haven, CT (NHV) for all stops except Randolph, VT (RPH), Windsor, VT (WNM), Claremont, NH (CLA), Holyoke, MA (HLK) and Meriden, CT (MDN).
  • Trains 140 and 146, which normally operate between Washington, DC (WAS) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will terminate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Buses 3140 and 3146 will provide alternate transportation between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Springfield, MA (SPG).
  • Train 143, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Washington, DC (WAS), will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3143 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).
  • Train 157, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Washington, DC (WAS) will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3157 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).
  • Train 400, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Greenfield, MA (GFD), will be replaced by Bus 3400.
  • Trains 405, 409, 465 and 4v97 which normally operate between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV), will be replaced by Buses 3405, 3409, 3465 and 3497.
  • Trains 416, 450, 460 and 464, which normally operate between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will be replaced by Buses 3416, 3150, 3460, and 3464.
  • Train 488, which normally operates between New Haven, CT (NHV) and Greenfield, MA (GFD), will be replaced by Bus 3188.
  • Train 461, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and New Haven, CT (NHV), will be replaced by Bus 3461.
  • Train 499, which normally operates between Greenfield, MA (GFD) and Springfield, MA (SPG), will be replaced by Bus 3009.

 

August 10

  • Train 125, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Newport News, VA (NPN), will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3125 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).
  • Train 141, which normally operates between Springfield, MA (SPG) and Washington, DC (WAS), will originate at New Haven, CT (NHV). Bus 3141 will provide alternate transportation between Springfield, MA (SPG) and New Haven, CT (NHV).
