Extreme Temperatures May Cause Delays

Due to forecasted extreme temperatures in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest, trains may need to operate with reduced speeds and could experience delays between the hours of 11a.m. and 7p.m. starting Wednesday, July 1st, continuing through Saturday July 4th.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to impacted customers as more information becomes available.

Customers are encouraged to check Train Status on Amtrak.com and the Amtrak app for the most up-to-date information.
