Ski Tours - Colorado & Montana

Available packages include:

  • Lodging (hotel, condo, townhouse, duplex or private homes).
  • Transfers (or car rental).
  • Lift tickets.
  • Coach rail on Amtrak.
  • Sleeper upgrades are available.

Take the Empire Builder direct to Whitefish (Big Mountain), Montana or the California Zephyr direct to Winter Park, Colorado. Other Colorado ski resorts to choose from (with a car rental from Denver or Glenwood Springs) are Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Aspen, Snowmass, Sunlight Mountain, or Powderhorn.

  • Whitefish, Montana (Big Mountain Ski Resort)
Big Mountain is true to its name with 3,000 acres of diverse terrain. The legendary Snow Ghosts of Big Mountain are a signature of this "last best place", from trees that disappear inside a thick, white cloak and stand guard to the powder stashes that remain for days after a storm — this is one of Mother Nature's most spectacular natural terrain parks.
  • Winter Park, Colorado
Winter Park is one of Colorado's largest ski resorts and has daily direct service via Amtrak's California Zehpyr. Winter Park has 2,762 total skiable acreage, which includes 134 designated trails. There are a total of 24 lifts including eight high speed express quads, three triple chairlifts and seven double chairlifts. Its uphill capacity is 33,510 skiers per hour. The Zephyr Express is modified to accommodate 20 gondola cabins for dinner service to The Lodge at Sunspot.
  • Copper Mountain, Colorado
Copper Mountain is one of Summit County's largest ski areas with over 2,400 skiable acres and averaging 280 inches of snowfall during the ski season. Copper has one of the best terrain parks and pipes in Colorado. But there's more. Check out other family-fun activities such as snow-tubing or a horse-drawn dinner sleigh ride.
  • Breckenridge, Colorado
Breckenridge is a 138 year-old Victorian resort town. It includes one of the state's largest Historic districts, with 254 registered buildings, including the Carter Museum. Breckenridge Resort has 2,208 skiable acres with 147 trails. The base elevation is 9,600 feet with a vertical rise of 3,398 feet. A total of 28 lifts gives Breckenridge a lift capacity of 37,280 skiers per hour.
  • Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado
Aspen consists of four mountains: Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. All four mountains are within 25 minutes of each other and are easily served by the free shuttle buses, with continuous departures throughout the day.
  • Sunlight Resort, Colorado (Glenwood Springs)
Take Amtrak through the beautiful Colorado Mountains and stay in the Historic Glenwood Springs. Packages include skiing at Sunlight Mountain and admission to the world-famous Hot Springs Pool. Sunlight Mountain is located approximately 10 miles from Glenwood Springs and offers beautiful vistas of majestic Mount Sopris and the surrounding Elk Mountain Range, as well as hundreds of acres of mild greens, intermediate slopes and black diamond extremes to satisfy all levels of ability.
  • Powderhorn Resort, Colorado (Grand Junction)
A unique location where the desert meets the mountains. Nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, 35 minutes from Grand Junction, Powderhorn has exceptional valley views and a family-friendly atmosphere. Climb 4,000 feet above the Grand Valley floor to the slopes of Powderhorn. Enjoy the groomed "corduroy," bumps and glade skiing. Powder stashes can be found all day and you won't spend your time waiting in lift lines. Hit the rails in the terrain park. Relax in one of our restaurants and soak up the sun on the large daylodge deck. Experience our legendary Colorado powder, averaging over 250 inches a year. Even our mountain layout is family-friendly.
