May 27 and 29, 2015 and June 7, 10, 12, 14, 24 and 26, 2015

On the dates shown above, eastbound Train 2/422 will depart Los Angeles at 8 pm, two hours earlier than the normal schedule, and operate two hours earlier at all stations through its arrival in San Antonio at 2:50 am. The train will depart San Antonio at 6:25 am, the normal scheduled time.

This temporary schedule change is due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad.

Eastbound Train 2/422 Connections

Due to the earlier departure of Train 2/422, Coast Starlight Train 11 and Pacific Surfliner Trains 790 and 1790 will not make connections with the Train 2/422. Passengers can contact Amtrak for connection options.

<![CDATA[Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle: Service Changes between St. Louis and Chicago]]> Effective Sunday, May 17, 2015

Track and signal upgrades being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, will affect Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle on Sunday, May 17, 2015, as described below:

Lincoln Service Trains
  • Trains 300, 301, 302, 303, 304 and 305 will be canceled. Reservations will not be accepted for Train 300, and passengers on all trains except 300 will be provided alternate transportation at all stations on the route.
  • Train 307 will operates on an adjusted schedule, departing Chicago 35 minutes later (at 7:35 pm), and operating 35 minutes later at all stops through its arrival in St. Louis.
  • Train 306 will not be affected and will operate according to its normal schedule.
Texas Eagle Train 21/421

Train 21/421 will depart Chicago traveling on a detour route to St. Louis, and will not stop at any intermediate stations. Bus service will not be provided at stations between Chicago and St. Louis.

Texas Eagle Train 22
  • Train 22 will detour between St. Louis and Chicago on May 17, 2015, and will not stop at any intermediate stations. Passengers on Train 22 destined for Chicago will remain on the train.
  • Passengers on Train 22 traveling to stations between St. Louis and Chicago will detrain in St. Louis and board a bus to their destination. The bus will only stop to discharge passengers.
Texas Eagle Trains 321 and 322

Trains 321 and 322 will be canceled on May 17, 2015. Passengers may make reservations on Lincoln Service bus/train services referenced above.

Train 768 Effective May 31 and June 7, 2015

Track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad will affect Trains 768 and 785, as described below:

Train 785: Saturdays, May 30 and June 6, 2015

Train 785, which normally operates between San Diego and Goleta, will terminate in Santa Barbara on May 30 and June 6, 2015. At Santa Barbara, passengers will be provided bus service to Goleta.

Train 768: Sundays, May 31 and June 7, 2015

Train 768, which normally originates in Goleta, will originate in Santa Barbara. Passengers boarding in Goleta will be provided bus service to Santa Barbara, where they can board Train 768.

Bus Departs Earlier: The bus will depart Goleta at 6:20 am, 15 minutes earlier than Train 768 normally departs.

<![CDATA[California Zephyr Trains 5 and 6: Detour between Denver and Salt Lake City]]> Effective May 16 - 22 and June 1 - 8, 2015

Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, Trains 5 and 6 will operate on an alternate route between Denver and Salt Lake City on the dates shown above. Both trains will detour through southern Wyoming affecting service at stations between Denver and Salt Lake City. Passengers traveling on these dates should be aware that Trains 5 and 6 will not travel on its normal route through the Rocky Mountains and along the Colorado River. The detour route is less mountainous than the regular route through the Colorado River Canyon. It follows a portion of the historic transcontinental Union Pacific route completed in 1869 that offers views of broad vistas, wildlife and high plains.

Fraser-Winter Park and Granby Service Cancellations

On the dates shown above, service (train or bus) will not be provided to or from Fraser-Winter Park and Granby.

Train 5 Detours between Denver and Salt Lake City

Westbound Train 5 will operate on its normal route to Denver. On May 16 through May 22 and June 1 through June 8, 2015, the train will depart Denver and detour through Wyoming. The train will not make any stops until arriving at Salt Lake City, where Train 5 will resume its normal route to Emeryville.

Alternate Bus Service at Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Green River, Helper and Provo
Passengers aboard Train 5 who are traveling to Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Green River, Helper and Provo will detrain at Denver, where bus service will be provided to their destination. Passengers boarding at these stations will be provided bus service to Salt Lake City, where they will board Train 5. The buses will depart later than the published schedule for Train 5.

Train 6 Detours between Salt Lake City and Denver

Eastbound Train 6 will operate on its normal route to Salt Lake City. On May 16 through May 22 and June 1 through June 8, 2015, the train will depart Salt Lake City and detour through Wyoming. The train will not make any stops until arriving at Denver, where the Train 6 will resume its normal route to Chicago.

Alternate Bus Service at Provo, Helper, Green River, Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs
Passengers aboard Train 6 who are traveling to Provo, Helper, Green River, Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs will detrain at Salt Lake City, where bus service will be provided to their destination. Passengers boarding at these stations will be provided bus service to Denver, where they will board Train 6. The buses will depart later than the published schedule for Train 6.
