For more flexible and powerful search capabilities, you can use the advanced search tool. To access the advanced search tool, simply click on the 'Search' label located at the upper right-hand corner of most pages on this site.
Using the Advanced Search Tool
To use the advanced search tool:
- Enter a search term or terms or a phrase in one of the text fields under the 'Find Results' header.
- Find results 'with all of the words' means that the search engine will return pages with only those exact words present, in any order.
- Find results 'with at least one of the words' means that the search engine will return pages with any of those words present.
- Find results 'with the exact phrase' means that the search engine will return pages with the exact phrase present.
- Using the two drop-down lists, you can choose to limit your search to content in the title or the body of pages, and you can further limit your search to a maximum number of results.
- In the 'Section to Include in the Search' portion of the page, you may specify the particular sections of the Amtrak site you would like the search engine to include in the search.
Scope of the Search
Please note that the Amtrak search tool does not search for content outside the Amtrak web site. To conduct a search outside the Amtrak web site, use an Internet-wide search tool, such as Google.
