Browsers and Advanced Features
To use many of the advanced features of the Amtrak web site, you must have a recent web browser with certain browser options enabled.
Which browsers are supported?
You may be able to use other browsers, but older or unsupported browsers may reduce your ability to use advanced features.
Which browser options must be enabled?
- SSL. Your web browser must support Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. SSL is used to encrypt data transmitted across the Internet and helps keep your personal information secure.
- JavaScript. Your browser must have JavaScript enabled.
- Cookies. Your browser must be set to accept cookies from the Amtrak web site.
Plug-ins
Some pages contain content that may require the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® and Flash® plug-ins. These plug-ins can be downloaded for free.
